#1. Serve God #2. Serve Others #3. Serve Self

Hi there friends. Just call me with my username as my friends know me very well. I have a lot of functions here on Earth. My main job is to preach the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ who set me free from my previous filthy life. (Romans 3:23) PTL. I teach, minister, pray upon healing to my family, friends and even to strangers. (Mark 16:15) I am also a Senior Software Engineer in line with the Microsoft Technology. A realtor on demand as well helping people to resolve issues in terms of real estate and financing. My goal is to get my clients the best deal I could ever negotiate for them. I am a wife and a mother of 2 beautiful kids. Best of all, I am blessed with a wonderful husband who also love to serve our Lord Jesus Christ. To God be the Glory. Let me share to you the true happiness that I found which the world cannot offer.

Did you know that you were created to have a loving relationship with God? He is patiently and lovingly waiting for you to respond to His invitation to salvation. Yes, you can receive forgiveness for your sins and assurance of eternal life through faith in His only Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved" (John 3:16-17). "Now this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent" (John 17:3).

You may be asking yourself: "How can I know God?" Man is able to know the true and living God through His Word (that is, the Bible). The Bible reveals God's character and His plan for mankind. It is through reading His Word that we come to a knowledge of the righteousness of God and that which He requires of us.

Our sin has separated us from God — our corruption is to such a degree that we cannot know Him personally and cannot experience His love. God's Word says, "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). Man was created to have fellowship with God, but because of his sin (i.e., anything that is against the righteousness revealed in God's Law) he is prevented from that fellowship.

This includes anything less than perfect obedience to God's commands. "The wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23a). The ultimate result of this death is an eternity in Hell. This spiritual death forces a separation from God.

Man is sinful and God is holy. This creates a gulf unbridgeable by man making that intended fellowship impossible. The only solution is a divine bridge — that bridge is Christ. God created a way by sending His Son to pay the price for our sin. "God demonstrated His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). He died in our place; He who knew no sin became sin for us. This removed our burden of sin and allows us to enter into that desired fellowship if we follow His way. He is the only way. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6).

It is not just enough that you know these truths. We must individually place our trust in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. It is by repenting of our sins and believing on Christ that we can know God personally and experience His love. "But as many as receive Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name" (John 1:12). "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them" (Ephesians 2:8-10).

"Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit" (Acts 2:38). You can receive Jesus Christ right now by faith. "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation" (Romans 10:9-10).

If you now believe on God and place your faith in His Son, congratulations — and welcome to His family. We, all being His children, share in a heavenly inheritance! We are heirs to heaven and are promised the eternal pleasure of glorifying God. As our life here on earth progresses, God will continue to work in our hearts. We are daily being conformed to the image of Christ, Himself. We will begin to live lives of righteousness. Obedience to God will not be a burden to us, but rather a joy.

You may wonder, now that you are a Christian, "What now?" Our greatest recommendation for believers, new and old, is 1) find a church (Body of Christ) so you might hear the preaching of the Word and rejoice in the fellowship of other Christians, 2) study the Bible for that is where we learn of God and His plans, 3) pray to Him to strengthen your faith and increase your love toward Him, 4) enjoy the blessings given by God in the heavenly ordained sacraments: baptism and the Lord's Supper. 5) Get baptized by the Holy Spirit to get power and be able to walk in spirit, cast out the enemy during this journey to eternity. 6) Obey God's word and implement it in our lives. All of these will work to encourage and build upon your faith. Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ. Rom 10:17

Porma for Less

I would like to share this great purchase experience I had
that really exceeded my expectations.

No, I am not selling these purses. I purchased them from a friend in the Philippines.
The quality of these purses are "AAA" inside and out. The price is outstanding.
Where else in the world would you find a a pocketbook for less than 1,000 pesos or
$23 (approx)

The seller's name is Rica Dimayuga(eurica888@yahoo.com). She has a whole collection of newly released
designed bags that only has limited stock. Rest assured, I am not bothered walking in the mall having to see exactly the same purse as these ones. (Don't you love it?). Yes it is indeed unique.

To top it off, the service was superb! I placed an order Thursday last week. We did an oline transaction through xoom.com where the money was deducted from my account, got cleared and the money was delivered personaly to Rica. She shipped them out and presto! After few days the purses are here. I didn't wait long at all.

Thank...

WHEAT TO EAT

I can't wait until I get through the 1st phase of my South Beach Diet. So far so good. The result after 10 days has been inspiring. With the strict implementation of what "NOT" to eat and religiously exercising 2 hrs each session, 3x a week has kept me on tract on the goal.It is not easy at all. But faith and dedication help reach it. These are one of the things that human has full control of. It just need "hard work".

Here is my track record: Starting weight: 138 lbs Goal weight: 115 lbs

Current weight: 133 lbs

Lbs lost: 5 lbs from Jan 2 - Jan 11

% lost: 21.73 % (lbs to shed - current weight x 100)

By next week, I can start phase 2 of SBD.
Cheapest car in the world?

I was reading cnn.com's business and technoloty site and came across this article. It is said to be the world's cheapest car with an MSRP of $2,500. Dang that is really cheap!

The gas mileage is said to be 50 mpg. Wow it would probably take me 3 months before I fill up another tank. About safety and comfort, I don't know. As for now, it think money wise and economy wise this would simply get you from point A to B. Not bad at all!

To read the full article go to:

http://ridingtheelephant.blogs.fortune.cnn.com/2008/01/10/nano-achieves-ratan-tata%e2%80%99s-dream/

This is when you start gaining weight due to overindulgence, no exercise or simply feasting everyday and not thinking about tomorrow, health wise.

Take a look at these yummy blue cheese(oh yeah we used to toss this one inthe waste bin too during gf days). I just sniffed and stared at it. I actually prepared it for hubby before dinner is ready. I cannot eat this high fat cheese b/c I am still on Phase 1 of the SBD. There are a lot of food that are artery cloggers and most or all of them are from animal fat.

I was having withdrawal symptoms from sugar and caffeine. These are one of the things I have to give up during this phase. Although, it is kinda hard to admit it was difficult the first 4 days, I am getting used to it. I'm am doing this for the sake of health.

The one on the right are the good type of oil and sauces.
Smoky Chipotle Hummus - Recipe

This is a very heart friendly recipe. Good for SBD Phase 1. Only 90 calories per serving. Very tasty especially if you eat it with celery. I had this one for night snack. It made me full without feeling guilty.

I remember back in the GF days, we use to throw this away in the first class waste bin. Well, I nibble the olives first before I throw it away.

This is also good in entertaining guests. Can be served with crackers or pita bread, but I prefer it with celery since I'm on SBD.

Smoky Chipotle Hummus

INGREDIENTS

2 (15.5 ounce) cans garbanzo beans, drained
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup tahini (sesame-seed paste)
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 canned chipotle pepper in adobo sauce
2 cloves garlic
1 1/2 teaspoons cumin
1 (7 ounce) jar roasted red bell peppers, drained
6 oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes, drained
1/2 cup chopped cilantro
1/2 teaspoon salt
ground black pepper to taste

Place the garbanzo beans, water, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, chipotle ...

Southbeach Accountability

I am making this blogsite my Southbeach Accountability Page meaning - everyone in my contact list should make me accountable for my weight loss.

I'm currently on phase one of the southbeach diet. This is the toughest b/c I am giving up all the bad carbs(bad sugar) and bad fat in my system until it gets stabilized after 2 weeks. After that, I can re-introduce the the good carbs gradually.

I definitely gained weight during the last holiday season. All my suit pants and jackets are bulging on size 6. This is not a good sign.

For my cardio, I am also doing Billy Blanks exercise - the "AMPED" version.

Below is my weight loss ticker to see my progress. I will be updating this every Monday and if you see me gain weight, I am giving you the freedom to yell at me.

I am currently 138 lbs. My goal is to reach 115lbs. So thats 23 lbs to lose. So far I've lost 1 lb. Hey guys thank you for being my weight loss accountability partner. I appreciate all your yelling and scolding....

South Beach, Billy Blanks, Tears and Sweat

Pigging out is over. After enjoying these festivities, I must admit I kinda lost track of my food intake and exercise routine. After giving birth to my 2nd child, I was a whoping 210 lbs with lingering high cholesterol, high blood and diabetes for 6 months.

My primary physician advised me, it's a changed of lifestyle. Lifestyle starts with what you put in your mouth. YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT. I totally agree with this doctor. These 3 diseases are a silent killer that you don't necessarily have to feel anything different.

I started controling what I eat by following a diet. South Beach worked for me best. From 210 lbs, it dropped to 120 lbs. It didn't happen overnight. It took a lot of hard work and most of all discipline and dedication. Yes, you can control what you eat and what you put in your mouth. Eating becomes an addiction to the point that you become a slave of it. When you become a slave of it, it is very painful to let go.

Any kind of diet doesn't work...

How Coffee Works

This is an educational topic since everyone drinks coffee. Taken from my favorite website: www.howstuffworks.com

HOW COFFEE WORKS

Red Cherry to Green Bean

What we call a coffee bean is actually the seeds of a cherry-like fruit. Coffee trees produce berries, called coffee cherries, that turn bright red when they are ripe and ready to pick. The fruit is found in clusters along the branches of the tree. The skin of a coffee cherry (the exocarp) is thick and bitter. However, the fruit beneath it (the mesocarp) is intensely sweet and has the texture of a grape. Next comes the parenchyma, a slimy, honey-like layer, which helps protect the beans. The beans themselves are covered by a parchment-like envelope called the endocarp. This protects the two, bluish-green coffee beans, which are covered by yet another membrane, called the spermoderm or silver skin.

These beans are almost ready for harvesting.

There is usually one coffee harvest per year.
Creme Brulee - The Recipe

Finally, getting in the groove for Christmas shopping just this afternoon, I started singing holiday songs. I've been seating in a meeting 3 days a week. Buti na lang meeting means you are with your laptop with the wireless connection. I really don't like going to the mall walking around for nothing. I get very tired of walking (sign of aging he he he). If I am not going to buy anything, I'm not going at all.

After work, I enjoyed shopping for tomorrow's White Elephant gift exchange. Corporate requires $20 budget for those who want to participate. I went a little bit overboard. Would be nice to see someone's eye sparkle and get excited. For the potluck, I bought a rich and creamy, not so sweet chocolate cake. This cake has been tried and tested by the kids. No doubt, people at work will love this as well.

On the other hand. I'm still torn between leche flan and creme brulee for Christmas Day. Looks like I'm gonna settle for the latter. So here's the recipe o...

Puto Bumbong, Bibingka, Leche Flan at iba pa

2weeks ago, we stopped by the filipino store as part of our weekend errand. As I passed by the

fast food window. I saw a bibingka on the table for sale. Mind you, this bibingka has itlog na pula on top. I got so excited that I grabbed this bibingka. Over the register I payed $4.00 for this.

I was bragging it to my kids about this Filipino delicacy. So I waited until we got home to enjoy the aroma and the exotic taste of this special food. Kids looked at it. They were not interested. They've never seen anything like that before. Hubby wans't interested too. Hmm, I said "cool", this is all mine. I took the first bite of it, closed my eyes...imagining I was somewhere in manila with all the jeepneys and the sound of tricycle as my background sound. My palate told me to open my eyes and get real. This $4.00 dollar bibingka is a crap!!!

I didn;t taste the smoke flavor of it. Although the banana leaves were used as a base, the red egg taste like it. But in totality, it doesn't even ...
